Business Women's Association held their annual Regional Businesswomen Achievers Awards at Umfolozi Resort.
Hosted by the Businesswomen's Association (BWA), the awards honoured established entrepreneurs, small business owners and professionals in corporate and government who have excelled and meaningfully impacted their respective industries.
This year, the award nominees and winners exhibited the value of the entrepreneurial spirit, with the exceptional women winning each of the three categories' said BWA Zululand Branch Administrator, Chantal McNally.
It was a beautiful evening acknowledging phenominal businesswomen. Guest speakers included powerful ex CEO of Richards Bay Coal Terminals – Nosipho Damasane and Executive Director of BWA South Africa Matshepo Msibi.
Winners of RBAA included Andile Mtshali in the professional category, Panaso Ndlela in the corporate category and Phumzile Lembede the emerging entrepreneur category.
The idea behind the awards is to identify small-business owners, professionals in corporate and government and established entrepreneurs who have attained excellence in their respective industries and whose efforts have meaningfully impacted the environments in which they operate.
BWA Zululand is a platform for female business owners in the area to grow and build their businesses, and provide the necessary support needed to take their businesses to the next level.
